Accounts Payable Associate

This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm, in office. Position Summary: The Accounts Payable Associate is responsible for managing the company's accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and vendor accounts. This role supports the finance department by maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Starting pay around $21.10-$28.00/hr. Key Responsibilities: Receive, review, and verify vendor invoices for accuracy and proper authorization. Process invoices and payment requests in a timely manner. Prepare and execute payments through checks, electronic transfers, or other payment methods. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies. Maintain accurate accounts payable records and documentation. Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date. Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payments and account status. Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities. Prepare accounts payable reports and aging schedules. Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Support audits by providing required documentation and explanations. Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to resolve invoice and payment issues. Knowledge and Skill Requirements: Three (3) years of proven accounts payable experience (to include accounting/bookkeeping), college level accounting courses or equivalent relevant experience. Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Excel and MRP system. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Good analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work as part of a team. Knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
