Our team is responsible for driving product and process quality across design, production, and supplier domains.What You Will Be DoingAs the Quality Engineer you will be responsible for applying quality principles across design, incoming material, production control, and product evaluation to ensure robust, reliable products.Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Conduct technical evaluations of product requirements, specifications, designs, and procedures.Lead failure investigations, material review board decisions, and corrective/preventive actions.Develop and implement strategies to improve internal and supplier performance.Design and analyze inspection and testing processes, including statistical analysis.Maintain supplier certification programs and support supplier selection.Why Join UsWe seek a collaborative professional who thrives on solving complex quality challenges and driving continuous improvement. Discover more about our Orlando, Florida location.MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access.Basic QualificationsSTEM degree at the bachelors level or higher, preferably in a Technical, Industrial or Quality Assurance related field or equivalent experience/educationMust be able obtain a Secret level security clearanceEngineering or Quality experience developing methods, work instructions and procedures for inspection of manufactured productsAn understanding of engineering drawings requirements mechanical and electrical inspection methodsAbility to interpret Drawings, Specifications, Contracts that will enable development and review of QE Processes, and related Performance MetricsDemonstrated ability to use casual analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complexAwareness of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)Ability to travel 25%Desired SkillsLean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt / Black Belt)ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CSQ) and / or Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)Thorough understanding in AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management SystemsDemonstrated team leadership skillsCustomer Relationship Management skillsExperience working with Government customersProficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.Demonstrated presentation skillsEffective interpersonal skills including team building and collaborationEffective communication skills including written, oral, listening and technical writingStrong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environmentPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $ - $ At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
