Tecan is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Intern to join our People & Organization team in Morrisville, NC. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience while supporting the day-to-day operations of the HR team and contributing to projects that enhance the employee experience and organizational effectiveness.

Working alongside members of the People & Organization team, the intern will support a variety of HR activities and projects while gaining exposure to multiple Human Resources disciplines based on business priorities and organizational needs. This opportunity is ideal for students or individuals interested in exploring careers in Human Resources, business administration, or people management while developing practical business skills in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Depending on business priorities during the internship, opportunities may include:

• Supporting onboarding and new hire orientation activities
• Assisting with employee records management and HR documentation
• Creating and maintaining HR templates, forms, and electronic documents
• Supporting interview scheduling and recruiting coordination
• Assisting with employee engagement and recognition initiatives
• Preparing HR reports, presentations, and process documentation

Essential Responsibilities

Human Resources Operations:

• Assist with onboarding and new hire orientation activities
• Support employee record maintenance while ensuring confidentiality of sensitive information
• Assist with HR data entry, audits, and document management
• Prepare HR reports, spreadsheets, and presentations as needed
• Assist with creating and maintaining HR templates, forms, process documentation, and fillable electronic forms

Talent Acquisition:

• Assist with interview scheduling and candidate communications
• Coordinate interview logistics and recruiting activities
• Participate in résumé screening and other recruitment support activities

Employee Engagement:

• Assist with employee engagement initiatives and recognition programs
• Support employee events, wellness activities, and community engagement initiatives
• Help prepare communications and presentation materials for HR activities

Qualifications Required

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in:

• Human Resources
• Business Administration
• Management
• Psychology
• Organizational Leadership
• Or a related field

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

Learning Opportunities

While supporting the day-to-day activities of the People & Organization team, the selected candidate will gain exposure to HR operations, onboarding, talent acquisition, employee engagement, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration. The specific projects will vary based on business needs during the internship, providing practical experience and insight into how Human Resources supports organizational success.

Salary Range: $21.00–$24.00 per hour (Salary will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with industry data.)
