The Drug Manufacturing Technician is responsible for the safe and accurate operation and maintenance of drug manufacturing equipment and the preparation of pharmaceutical products in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). This role involves weighing raw materials and active pharmaceutical ingredients, blending materials, maintaining equipment and facility cleanliness, completing batch records and work orders, and following established manufacturing procedures. The Drug Manufacturing Technician is responsible for the safe and accurate operation and maintenance of drug manufacturing equipment and the preparation of pharmaceutical products in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). This role involves weighing raw materials and active pharmaceutical ingredients, blending materials, maintaining equipment and facility cleanliness, completing batch records and work orders, and following established manufacturing procedures. Responsibilities:
- Operate and perform basic maintenance of drug manufacturing and production equipment.
- Accurately weigh raw materials and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).
- Combine and blend raw materials according to approved manufacturing procedures.
- Follow batch manufacturing instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Complete batch records, work orders, and other manufacturing documentation accurately.
- Perform documentation in compliance with cGMP requirements.
- Maintain manufacturing equipment, work areas, and facility in a clean and orderly condition.
- Inspect equipment and report maintenance issues or abnormalities.
- Follow safety procedures and pharmaceutical manufacturing requirements.
- Complete all required cGMP, safety, and job-specific training within established timelines.
- Follow procedures precisely with minimal errors, corrections, or documentation discrepancies.
- Work independently and effectively as part of a team.
- Maintain compliance with company quality, safety, and manufacturing standards.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Ability to accurately measure, weigh, and handle raw materials.
- Ability to follow written procedures, SOPs, and manufacturing instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to follow cGMP and safety requirements.
- Ability to work overnight hours and meet scheduled attendance requirements.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, drug, chemical, food, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
- Previous experience with manufacturing or processing equipment.
- Experience working with batch records, work orders, or production documentation.
- Knowledge of cGMP, GMP, SOPs, and manufacturing safety practices.
- Experience with weighing, blending, mixing, or processing raw materials.
