ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

SUMMARY

Owns end-to-end performance of the molding operation, including production execution, process engineering, and continuous improvement. Responsible for delivering results across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Morale, and Excellence while enforcing disciplined execution aligned to corporate standards (CLC, IATF, ISO).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Safety

·         Ensure TRIR ≤ 1 and full compliance with all safety systems

·         Lead department safety culture, audits, and corrective actions

·         Eliminate repeat incidents through structured root cause analysis

·         Ensure compliance with environmental requirements (ISO 14001)

Quality

·         Achieve ≤ 40 PPM with continuous improvement trend

·         Ensure 0 external quality escapes

·         Maintain process stability through parameter control and standardization

·         Lead problem solving using structured methodologies (5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA)

·         Ensure PPAP completion and full audit readiness (IATF)

Delivery

·         Achieve 100% On-Time Delivery with 0 past due

·         Drive OEE ≥ 80% with continuous improvement

·         Ensure execution of production schedule in alignment with Materials

·         Improve uptime through process stability, material readiness, and disciplined execution

·         Achieve SMED < 100 minutes with sustained improvement

Cost

·         Support >10% EBITDA performance through molding operations

·         Reduce scrap, cycle time, and labor inefficiencies

·         Lead cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives

·         Ensure inventory accuracy and material usage discipline

·         Build an accountable and engaged workforce

·         Ensure 100% completion of performance reviews

·         Develop skills matrix and training plans for all team members

·         Drive internal promotion and leadership development

Excellence

·         Achieve OPEX ≥ 95% (minimum baseline 85%)

·         Enforce Layered Process Audits (LPA)

·         Maintain 5S ≥ 85% with sustained discipline

·         Ensure adherence to CLC Technique and standard work

Functional Ownership

·         Own daily production attainment, labor performance, and schedule adherence

·         Monitor and drive KPIs including OEE, scrap, and output

·         Ensure proper staffing and shift performance accountability

Process Engineering

·         Own process control systems and technical standards

·         Lead troubleshooting and process stabilization

·         Oversee mold trials, parameter development, and validation

·         Develop technical capability of process technicians

Continuous Improvement

·         Lead scrap reduction, cycle time improvement, and SMED initiatives

·         Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions

·         Maintain pipeline of continuous improvement projects

Leadership Expectations

·         Operates through standard work and structured daily management

·         Drives accountability through data and KPI ownership

·         Develops team capability rather than acting as primary problem solver

·         Ensures shift-level ownership and discipline

·         Enforces compliance in reporting systems, 5S, and process adherence

Qualifications

·         Experience in injection molding operations

·         Strong knowledge of plastic processing, tooling, and troubleshooting

·         Proven leadership in high-performance manufacturing environments

·         Experience with Lean Manufacturing, OEE, SMED, and continuous improvement

·         Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
