Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our finance team. Temp role for 90 days, Offering $26-28/hr. Located in San Diego, CA
Responsibilities
- Assist with Special Projects as required/needed.
- Assist with annual audit process.
- Maintain Fixed Assets, vendors, and customers records.
- Match vendor invoices with Purchas Orders and receiving documents.
- Process vendor invoices and weekly check-runs.
- Review and process employee expense reimbursements.
- Reconcile Credit Card statements with receipts.
- Verify all invoices, vouchers, and check requests have appropriate payment approval.
- Reconcile GL accounts as assigned.
- Follow up and resolve vendor/customer account discrepancies.
- Email or mail invoices to customers and make collection calls as assigned.
- Process intercompany billings and transactions.
Skills
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Proficiency in computer software, including MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or other accounting software desired.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, posting, and reconciliation processes required.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, percentages, and area.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
