Description:
This unit operates like an ICU but is considered an advanced PCU due to the patient ratios.
Patients include 24-hour post-CABG cardiac surgery cases with chest tubes.
The typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4 or 1:5.
Candidates must have ACLS certification.
LVAD experience is not required, as training will be provided.
