About the Position

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 4x9-hour shifts | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care and monitoring for patients recovering from surgical or procedural sedation
• Assess and manage patient pain, airway, hemodynamic stability, and level of consciousness in the PACU setting
• Collaborate with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe patient transitions
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses to care in accordance with facility protocols
• Recognize and respond to post-operative complications in a timely and clinically appropriate manner

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Georgia or compact state eligibility
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 18 months of PACU experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a high-volume or acute care surgical environment
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) documentation systems
