Lathe Machinist

Job Description We’re seeking a Machinist to produce accurate, high-quality metal components in a precision manufacturing environment. This role is a strong fit for someone who takes pride in setup, machining, inspection, and hands-on problem-solving. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate lathe equipment to produce parts according to drawings, specifications, and work instructions. Run Mazak machinery using Mazatrol controls to support production and custom machining needs. Measure, inspect, and verify completed parts to maintain tight tolerances and quality standards. Use hand tools, gauges, and shop equipment to complete machining, deburring, and finishing tasks. Maintain a clean, organized work area while following safety, quality, and production procedures. Qualifications Prior machinist experience in a metal manufacturing or machine shop environment. Experience operating lathes required. Mazak machine experience preferred. Mazaktraversal programming or control experience preferred. Strong understanding of precision machining, measurements, tolerances, and part inspection. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and basic technical documentation. Comfortable using hand tools, calipers, micrometers, gauges, and related inspection equipment. Strong attention to detail, reliability, safety awareness, and ability to work independently.
