Position Summary: The HR Administrative Assistant role will provide quality HR compliance and administrative support to the Home Building Group HR team. Duties / Responsibilities: - Handle pre-employment screening for all HBG facilities, to include background checks, drug screens, Caliper assessments.
- Facilitate rehire requests from General Managers, obtaining approval and informing Personnel in a timely manner.
- Manage the tuition reimbursement program; ensuring the proper approval, required supporting documents, and payment are completed.
- Maintain the High5 Award Program; processing and sending out the awards each week to the facilities.
- Provide monthly reports to the Department of Labor, and other reports for the department, as needed.
- Assist with department projects, such as the I-9/Tracker conversion and Handbook revisions.
- Assist with the annual benefit enrollment meetings at HBG facilities (some travel required).
- Provide support and assist with planning the annual HR/TMX conference.
- Provide HR support to the HBG facilities across the country.
- Assist recruiting in administrative functions as needed.
- Pull employment data from HCM systems and compile reports for management as needed.
- Be willing to learn the federal, state, and local laws and the regulations and standards applicable to the human resources field.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications: - College Degree strongly desired.
- 1-3 years' prior experience in an HR role required.
- Highly organized and ability to manage multiple and/or conflicting responsibilities.
- Have advanced word processing, spreadsheet, PowerPoint skills.
- Can operate with a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism.
Physical Demands: - Must be able to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as telephone, calculator, copy machine, computer printer, etc.
- Must be able to communicate with others via phone, email, and in person. Must be able to exchange accurate information with others.
- Constantly works in an indoor, temperature-controlled, sealed-window office environment.
- Work primarily involves sitting / standing.
