Machine Operator - 2nd Shift

Job Title

This position is for 2nd shift: Monday-Friday with some Saturdays: 3:30pm-12:00am

Responsible for safe part handling, mold operations as directed, post mold operations and secondary operations to produce a quality part.

Specific Responsibilities

• Remove parts from press.
• Part quality - attention to detail during part production or secondary work
• Receive training and follow operator instructions during molding or assembly
• Communicates when a part does not match approved sample
• Install preloads or other items as necessary for the molding process
• Trim or assemble or otherwise prepare parts to specification
• Package parts in correct fashion and to correct count
• Record job specifics and scrap totals on tally sheets
• Utilize computer for time recording and job assignment accounting
• Clean work area
• Awareness of regulatory and customer requirements as it pertains to Omega's clients, especially for Omega's medical clients (ref. ISO13485)

Essential Functions

Work performed in an office and manufacturing plant environment. Normal mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer. Frequently exposed to varying temperatures within plant depending upon external weather conditions. Frequently walks, stands, grips/grasps, bends/stoops, crouches, and lifts and carries up to fifty-five (55) pounds routinely throughout the day. This role is required to be on-site 5-6 days at the Clinton Twp, MI location.
