Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nurse position is available in Waco, Texas. The role involves providing advanced critical care, requiring proficiency in managing complex medical and surgical cases, including cardiovascular conditions, respiratory distress, and sepsis. The ICU team handles a diverse patient population, with staff expected to float between the ICU and step-down units as needed.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; minimum of two years of experience in an ICU setting; experience in a conglomerate ICU unit with medical, surgical, and cardiovascular patients; ability to float between ICU and step-down service lines.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing TAVR, CABG, CVA, respiratory distress, TNK, GIB, DKA, CEA, sepsis, femoral popliteal (fem pop), thoracotomy, vent management, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), targeted temperature management (TTM), intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), Impella, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), heart failure (HF), hypoxic respiratory failure, congestive heart failure (CHF), and pneumonia.
• Additional Information: The role involves providing critical patient care in a high-acuity environment with multiple complex conditions. Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and teamwork are essential for success in this position.
