Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring a minimum of two years of critical care experience and the ability to float between ICU and step-down units.

Details

• Work in a hospital's Intensive Care Unit setting
• Conglomerate ICU handling medical, surgical, and cardiovascular patient populations
• Common diagnoses and procedures include TAVR, CABG, CVA, respiratory distress, TNK, GIB, DKA, CEA, sepsis, fem pop, thoracotomy, vent management, HFNC, TTM, IABP, Impella, CRRT, STEMI, HF, hypoxic and respiratory failure, CHF, and pneumonia
• 13-week assignment with a night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
• Floating required between the critical care service line, encompassing ICU and step-down units

Requirements

• Active RN license (Texas or Compact) required
• Minimum of two years of ICU experience required
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required
• Current ACLS certification (AHA) required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to patients with complex medical, surgical, and cardiovascular conditions
• Manage advanced life support equipment and interventions including ventilators, HFNC, IABP, Impella, and CRRT
• Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates but potentially at a reduced rate depending on distance from the facility
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
