Licensed Practical Nurse LPN

APR is hiring for several LPN positions in the Triad area for both clinical and surgical environments. These are full time positions Provide direct nursing care to patients before and after surgical and outpatient procedures in a fast-paced ambulatory surgical center. Perform pre-operative assessments, obtain and document vital signs, review medical histories, allergies, medications, and surgical consents. Prepare patients for procedures, including IV site preparation, medication administration, surgical site preparation, and pre-operative education. Monitor patients throughout the recovery process, recognizing changes in condition and promptly communicating concerns to physicians and registered nurses. Administer medications, including prescribed pre-operative, post-operative, and pain medications, in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols. Assist physicians, surgeons, and operating room staff with procedures while maintaining strict aseptic technique and infection-control standards. Provide post-operative care, including pain assessment, wound monitoring, vital-sign monitoring, and evaluation for complications. Educate patients and families regarding discharge instructions, medications, wound care, activity restrictions, follow-up appointments, and signs of complications. Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records, nursing documentation, medication records, and surgical checklists. Maintain sterile supplies, prepare treatment rooms, and ensure surgical and recovery areas are properly stocked and ready for patients. Follow OSHA, HIPAA, infection prevention, patient safety, and surgical center policies and procedures. Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, RNs, medical assistants, surgical technicians, and other members of the healthcare team.
