Responsibilities Oversee development of policies and programs to mitigate organizational impact on the environment or protect employees from health and safety risks. Establish guidelines governing the collection and maintenance of employee training records, health/safety manuals, incident reports, and documentation. Audit facilities or processes to identify weaknesses or risks and develop corrective actions; ensure appropriate investigation of accidents or injuries. Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, or local statutes, including OSHA. Function as a primary H & S resource; conduct new employee H & S orientation training and ongoing refresher training. Ensure all required training and certification documentation is completed and maintained. Conduct regular facility inspections to identify potential H & S issues; work with plant managers, supervisors, and employees to mitigate hazards. Implement and administer all H & S programs, including GHS compliance (SDS compilation), Visitor & Contractor safety programs, Confined Space Entry, Hot Work, and LO/TO programs, safety committees, and suggestion programs. Conduct incident investigations and assist with reporting requirements; assist in managing the relationship with the company employer medical provider, coordinate work-related injuries and workers’ compensation, and pre-employment physical evaluations and drug screening. Serve as the primary point of contact for OSHA inquiries and investigations. Oversee execution of human resources policies and programs, including recruitment, onboarding, training, career development, employee relations, compensation and benefits planning. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including EEO, FMLA, and FLSA. Assist line managers in applying HR programs to departmental operations; answer employee/candidate questions about HR policies. Develop and implement comprehensive EHS policies and procedures; conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments. Lead and manage the organization’s EHS and HR programs; organize training programs on EHS and HR topics. Monitor and report on EHS and HR performance metrics; manage workers’ compensation claims; serve as primary contact for regulatory agencies. Oversee recruitment, onboarding, retention; develop emergency response plans; conduct drills. Foster culture of safety; collaborate with leads; manage employee benefits, payroll, performance systems; stay updated on trends. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Human Resources, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS and HR management roles. Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to environmental health and safety. Strong understanding of HR practices, policies, and labor laws. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing EHS and HR policies and programs. Certification in EHS (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) and HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred. Proficiency in risk assessment and management techniques. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Experience conducting training sessions and workshops. Strong analytical and reporting skills. Proficiency with EHS and HR software and tools. Willingness to travel as needed for site inspections and audits. Job Details Job Type: Full-time. Work Location: Onsite – Fairless Hills, PA. Salary: Starting at $90,000.00 per year, commensurate with experience. Benefits 10% Annual Bonus Potential.
