Software Test Engineer

Overview We are currently hiring Software Test Engineers in Newport News, VA. These will offer a hybrid work schedule. Description Will be taking manual test scripts and automate them using software. Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met. Qualifications US Citizenship. BS Degree. 2 years of relevant experience. Knowledge of software testing. Knowledge of automated testing tools such as Tricentis Tosca or OpenText UFT. Knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter. Knowledge of agile software development principles. Logical thinking. Problem solving abilities. Additional Information 2 openings available. Hybrid Work Schedule after training. Typical core hours are 8am-4pm, Monday-Friday. Pay Rate: $45-$60/hr based on experience.
