Saw Operator

Packer/Crater

Primary duties are to pack or crate products as required in preparations for shipment to both domestic and international destinations.

Essential Duties:

• Crate large standard products and systems per instructions from prefabricated crates and materials.
• Package smaller products using prefabricated corrugated boxes and foam per instructions.
• Stocking packaging material deliveries as required.
• Other tasks and projects assigned by the management of Amada Weld Tech from time to time.

Required Skillset:

• Ability and knowledge to use power tools such as miter saw, table saw, nail guns, staple guns, trim saw, reciprocating saw, and drills.
• Ability and knowledge to use standard hand tools.
• Ability to accurately measure dimensions using a tape measure and level.
• Ability to neatly package products and in a way to maximize the protection of the product.
• Quality, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills are a must.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Experience working in a shipping department is preferable.
• Experience with wood fabrication including measuring and cutting (framing, carpentry, or similar) is necessary.
• CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS None required.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE SKILLS:

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret written procedures is required.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is preferred.
