Job DescriptionInova Reston is looking for a dedicated Diagnostic Imaging Technical Specialist (CT and Xray) to join the team. This role will be full-time: Night Shift, 3/12-hour shifts 6:00pm to 6:30am. Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. We are also proud to be consistently recognized as a top employer in both the D.C. metro area and the nation.Featured Benefits:Committed to Team Member Health: offering medical, dental and vision coverage, and a robust team member wellness program.Retirement: Inova matches the first 5% of eligible contributions – starting on your first day.Tuition and Student Loan Assistance: offering up to $5,250 per year in education assistance and up to $10,000 for student loans.Mental Health Support: offering all Inova team members, their spouses/partners, and their children 25 mental health coaching or therapy sessions, per person, per year, at no cost.Work/Life Balance: offering paid time off, paid parental leave, and moreDiagnostic Imaging Technical Specialist Job Responsibilities:The Diagnostic Imaging Technical Specialist provides clinical services in multiple modalities, according to Imaging practice standards, with equal time spent in each modality, based on OU needs, while acting as a resource to Imaging Students and other technologists to ensure optimal department functions.Administers sound patient care practices according to hospital and department policies/procedures while ensuring the safety of patients.Communicates effectively with patients to obtain clinical history/informed consent to assist physicians in optimizing the performance and interpretation of examinations.Performs and documents routine quality control testing of equipment, as well as performs/recognizes the need for routine maintenance of imagers/processors to maintain consistent quality images, as evidenced by the physician and exam results.Assists in the development, review, and implementation of policies/procedures.Perform additional duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:Education: Graduate of accredited school/program of radiographyCertification: ARRT registered as a Radiologic Technologist upon startMust obtain advanced certification in applicable modality within one year of trainingAmerican Heart Association BLS within 3 months of hire.Experience: Minimum of one year of imaging experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital/healthcare environment.Must be able to perform in two or more modalities with at least even amount of time spent rotating in each annually based on needs.
