The mission of the USC Rossier School of Education is to prepare leaders to achieve educational equity through practice, research and policy. Through innovative thinking and research, we strive to solve the most in‑tractable educational problems. The Educational Counseling program seeks an instructor to teach EDUC 547: Career Development. This course examines the theories and processes of career development, as well as the principles of career and leisure planning and counseling applicable across the lifespan. The program seeks an instructor with significant professional experience in higher education, student affairs, career services, educational counseling, workforce development, or related higher education settings. The successful candidate will be able to connect career development theory to contemporary practice and help students understand how to support individuals in exploring educational, career, and life pathways. Candidates should demonstrate expertise in career development, counseling, student development, and culturally responsive approaches to working with diverse populations. Adjunct Faculty: USC reserves the “Adjunct Faculty” appointment for faculty teaching less than full‑time at USC, who are employed full‑time in a primary profession or career else‑where. Adjunct faculty may teach one class each semester (summer, fall and spring). The base salary range for this position is $7,457- $9,587 per course.
