Machinist PositionCleveland Pump is seeking a precise machinist to set up and operate Manual Horizontal Boring Mills, VTL's, and/or lathes. The ideal candidate will be able to work well with minimal supervision. Candidate must also understand how to read mechanical blueprints, perform calculations, and make cuts with precision to meet quality standards. Experience or previous training required with the intent of increasing skills during employment.Duties and Responsibilities:Set up and operate manually controlled machines based on part configurationEnsure all work meets quality standards, instructions, and specificationsUnderstand and comply with industry regulationsRead and follow blueprints or original components to manufacture new partsRegularly clean machinery and equipment as neededRequirements and Qualifications:The ability to perform basic math and follow instructionsStrong analytical skills, precision, and attention to detailAble to complete tasks in a fast-paced job shop environmentExcellent attendance requiredSchedule:Full-time; 10 hour; 1st shift; M-F.
