Job Summary Help take care of the people who bring hospitality to life. As the Human Resources Benefits Specialist, you will administer benefit programs for salaried and hourly associates, provide responsive support, and help associates understand and navigate their benefits. Reporting to the Corporate Director of Human Resources, you will coordinate enrollments, billing, records, renewals, and communications while working closely with carriers, plan providers, and HR teams. This role combines attention to detail, confidentiality, and a service-minded approach to supporting associate well-being. Job Family Core Work Activities Benefits Administration and Associate Service Administer approved health, dental, disability, life, travel and accident, retirement/401(k), pet insurance, wellness, and other available benefit programs. Coordinate enrollments, terminations, qualifying changes, beneficiary updates, required documentation, and COBRA administration with responsible providers according to established procedures and deadlines. Respond to associate questions with clear, accurate information and connect associates with the appropriate carrier or plan provider for eligibility, coverage, claims, or plan interpretation decisions. Coordinate disability, accident, and death claims, as well as retirement rollovers, distributions, loans, hardship requests, and compliance testing, with authorized providers. Maintain accurate, confidential benefits records and systems, process approved payroll-related updates, and track assigned administrative and compliance deadlines. Billing, Reporting, and Renewals Calculate and reconcile monthly premiums, enrollment records, payroll deductions, carrier invoices, and administrative fees; prepare supporting documentation for review and payment approval. Prepare accurate benefit reports and maintain authorized premium, claims, and cost information to support program administration and leadership review. Coordinate benefit renewals with leadership and providers, obtaining required approvals for plan terms, pricing, carrier commitments, and implementation. Research benefit enhancements, recommend improvements, and implement approved program changes within established plan terms and delegated authority. Communication, Training, and HR Support Coordinate benefit presentations, new associate orientation, enrollment assistance, and open-enrollment activities. Develop communication tools and distribute approved benefit information, enrollment materials, and summary plan descriptions. Explain benefit processes in an approachable, service-focused manner and follow through on associate inquiries. Provide training and process support to associates assisting with benefits administration. Partner with HR teams and providers to resolve administrative issues, elevate complex matters, and support consistent benefits administration. Assist with related HR activities and associate events as assigned.
