Veterinary Technician Preston Royal Animal Clinic – Dallas, TX – Full‑Time We are seeking a passionate and motivated Veterinary Technician to work 30‑40 hours per week, including day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts. One weekend shift is required. As a Veterinary Technician, you will work side‑by‑side with veterinarians during procedures, assist with surgeries, and support the medical team in ensuring quality veterinary care. Job Duties Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients. Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with the state Veterinary Practice Act. Monitor and assess patient status. Collect blood and other samples for testing. Place catheters. Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on membership options, medications, and treatments. Assist in maintaining comprehensive medical records. Obtain health history from clients and maintain charts. Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs. Guide, mentor, and support fellow team members. Experience & Skills Requirements Veterinary technician licensure preferred, not required. 1‑2 years of clinical experience. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an AVMA‑accredited veterinary technology program preferred, or equivalent education, training, and experience. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, squat, reach, stand, and walk throughout the day.
