Senior Staff Clinician, CCSC
The Graduate School of Education and Human Development is a premier school with exceptional faculty teaching across programs in International Education, Adult Education, Disability Studies, and Curriculum and Design, among others. The Department of Counseling and Human Development holds a strong clinical focus, utilizing the clinic as an opportunity to hone students' clinical skills before entering into internship. Additionally, The George Washington University's Community Counseling Services Center (CCSC) provides low-cost counseling and referral services, clinical screenings, and outreach programming for the neighboring communities. The CCSC is seeking a passionate and forward-thinking Senior Staff Clinician, CCSC—a unique opportunity to lead innovative mental health services while mentoring the next generation of counseling professionals. Rooted in an antiracist and anti-oppressive framework, the CCSC empowers clients through community outreach and advocacy, while offering a dynamic training environment where master's and doctoral-level students develop clinical expertise under the close supervision of dedicated faculty and licensed professionals. This position reports directly to the Director. A successful candidate must be able to work evenings on a regular basis and occasionally on a weekend. The incumbent is expected to efficiently lead a team, maintain confidential client and student information in accordance with HIPAA and FERPA regulations, and possess enthusiasm for the counseling field and the training of mental health counselors.

Screen and schedule clients for counseling interns, set client fees. Maintain accurate referral list for clients' and counseling interns' use. Update yearly training curriculum for counseling students and supervisors. Market the CCSC to prospective clients and referral sources. Examine potential funding opportunities for clinics. Ensure adherence of counseling interns and supervisor interns to the policies and procedures of the clinics, department, university, and accreditation standards. Maintain and manage technology systems associated with the clinical training program, including the electronic health record and the video-recording capacities of the CCSC, and ensure the confidentiality of all client records, recordings, and documents. Provide crisis management oversight and monitoring CCSC services about professional and ethical service provision. Assist in daily operations (including and not limited to ensuring the equipment works properly, the space is clean and safe, and ensuring adequate supplies in conjunction with department administrator). Monitor payments, client sessions, attendance, appropriateness for student clinic, and administrative aspects of clinic management. Maintain and manage technology systems such as the electronic health records and the video-recording capacities of the CCSC, and ensure the confidentiality of all client records, recordings, and documents.
