About the Role Gartner Analysts are industry thought leaders who create must‑have insights, market predictions and best practices for world‑leading organizations. As a Vice President in Gartner’s Business and Technology Insights (BTI) group, you establish yourself as a credible voice at local, regional and global levels. You produce pragmatic and provocative insights that clients consume and apply to drive their business toward key objectives, serving as a trusted source of advice to clients through meetings, virtual interactions and conferences. Responsibilities Create innovative, thought‑provoking, and highly leveraged “must‑have insights” content Develop new insights and ideas through thought leadership and offer compelling, actionable approaches to client needs Conduct in‑depth analysis to identify root causes of client barriers and reframe thinking to advance strategy Establish insight positions across a team of analysts, demonstrating thought leadership Bring provocative, independent insights to Gartner leaders to evolve research agendas Research, analyze and predict market trends and shifts, providing actionable insights to clients and vendors Advise clients and prospects via virtual or face‑to‑face interactions Create and deliver high‑value presentation materials for Gartner events, conferences and client briefings Support BTI and sales by serving as a voice of the market, driving engagement and content creation Peer‑review high‑quality, timely content Build credibility as an industry expert representing Gartner insights, methodology, and strategy Participate in innovation, ideation and research discussions with peers in the insights community Identify and develop research process improvements to enhance service delivery Mentor and coach more junior team members Maintain client‑centric focus, encouraging regular engagement with Gartner insights Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; graduate degree preferred Minimum 15+ years in an Analyst Relations team or leadership role Experience working with senior leadership in marketing, communications, strategy or product to drive corporate direction Planning, developing and executing an evaluative and advisory AR program Deploying tools and technologies to support strategic execution and operational aspects of the analyst relations function Demonstrated executive presence and credibility with executives and stakeholders Strong organizational skills with ability to meet tight deadlines and produce high‑quality deliverables Excellence in research and writing, with strong written and verbal proficiency, analytical and presentation skills Proficiency in analyzing and synthesizing data, applying patterns and frameworks to defend conclusions Strong communication skills, able to explain complex concepts concisely Subject‑matter expertise and comfort presenting at large and small‑scale speaking engagements Strong business and financial acumen Deep knowledge of the global and competitive landscape within the subject area Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams in a multicultural global environment Agile learning and adept at navigating highly matrixed environments Ability to represent Gartner’s research methodology and strategies at all levels Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% (where applicable) Compensation & Benefits Base salary range: $194,000 – $234,000 USD (actual salaries may vary). Employees may participate in an annual bonus plan or a role‑based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
