Salary: $75,000 - $95,000 per year A bit about us: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic Accounting and Finance team. This is a crucial role that will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial operations and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. The Senior Accountant will manage all aspects of accounting, from daily entries to finalizing monthly and annual financial reports. Oversee and manage the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled. 2. Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and accurate record keeping. 3. Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. 4. Conduct regular reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy. 5. Manage the company's financial reporting, providing accurate and timely information to the management team. 6. Oversee the administration of grants and contracts, ensuring compliance with all terms and conditions. 7. Ensure the company's financial operations are in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. 8. Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. 9. Collaborate with external auditors to ensure a successful audit process. 10. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the accounting function. Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. An advanced degree is a plus. 2. Active CPA certification is a plus. 3. A minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role 4. Strong understanding of GAAP and other accounting principles. 5. Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting. 6. Experience with grants, contracts, and compliance is a must. 7. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. 8. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 9. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial staff. 10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills. Experience with accounting software is a must. 11. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
