Fire Alarm Technician

As the Fire Alarm and Suppression Technician, you will perform routine and complex maintenance and repairs on various fire alarms systems and suppression equipment. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS The purpose of this position is to inspect, service, maintain, repair fire alarm and suppression systems. Identifies hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair. Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes. Shall develop and implement procedures to identify and prevent defective services from recurring. Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE NICET Certified Level III or IV required High School Diploma or Equivalent Minimum five (5) years of experience in the Fire Protection/Life Safety Industry including KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS High level of knowledge & application of the National Fire Alarm Code and pertinent UFC codes. Must be thoroughly capable of reading, interpreting, and applying system design plans, as well as building construction drawings and documents. Ability and willingness to work independently and as a team member on all aspects of fire sprinkler systems, including maintenance, testing, repairs, and troubleshooting.
