Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift | 3x12-hour shifts (36 hours/week)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a complex medical unit managing conditions such as complicated UTI, pneumonia, sepsis, pancreatitis, and altered mental status
• Care for patients with tracheostomies, PEG tubes, and peritoneal dialysis needs
• Perform IV starts and PICC line management
• Conduct neurological assessments using the NIHSS scale
• Support a research-focused unit environment approximately half of the scheduled month, including clinical observation and documentation protocols
• Transition between research unit assignments and complex medical patient care as scheduled

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Strong Medical/Surgical nursing skills and experience with complex patient populations
• Proficiency with tracheostomy care
• Competency in NIHSS assessment
• Experience with IV starts and PICC line management

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with peritoneal dialysis
• Prior exposure to research unit or clinical research environments
