Job Title

Registered Nurse – Telemetry / IMC / Step-Down (Moderate Care Unit)

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours per Week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to a mixed population of low-acuity critical care patients and observation patients within a fast-paced cardiovascular moderate care unit
• Monitor and manage patients with arterial lines, PA catheters, LVADs, and up to 2–4 vasoactive drips
• Care for pre-surgical and post-procedure cardiovascular and vascular patients who require extended monitoring prior to discharge or transfer
• Perform continuous cardiac rhythm monitoring and interpret telemetry findings; candidates will be required to pass a proctored rhythm identification test upon start
• Manage high patient turnover with a wide variety of cardiovascular diagnoses, supporting efficient throughput across the heart and vascular service line
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate safe patient transitions to appropriate ICU or step-down units

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license — must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 18 months of experience in IMC, PCU, Step-Down, or related specialty within the past 3 years
• Experience with PA catheters and arterial lines required
• Ability to pass a proctored, open-answer cardiac rhythm identification test (two attempts permitted)
• Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility (no local travelers)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CCRN certification preferred
• Experience caring for cardiovascular or vascular surgery patients, including LVAD management
• Background in low-acuity critical care or step-down environments within a heart and vascular service line
