Registered Nurse – Telemetry / IMC / Step-Down (Moderate Care Unit)

Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (36 hrs/week) | On-Site

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 12-bed, 24-hour moderate care/observation unit serving a heart and vascular service line
• Monitor and manage low-acuity critical care patients awaiting placement in ICU or step-down units, as well as post-procedural observation patients
• Manage patients on 2–4 drips, arterial lines, PA catheters, and LVADs
• Perform thorough cardiovascular and hemodynamic assessments, applying strong critical thinking in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
• Support a wide variety of cardiovascular diagnoses and procedures, contributing to safe and timely patient throughput
• Complete a proctored, written rhythm identification test upon unit orientation (two attempts permitted; not multiple choice)

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license — must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 18 months of experience in IMC, PCU, step-down, or telemetry specialty within the past 3 years
• Demonstrated experience with PA catheters; ability to manage occasional ventilated patients
• Strong rhythm identification and cardiac monitoring skills
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Non-local candidates only (50-mile radius restriction applies)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CCRN certification preferred
• Experience with pre-surgical cardiac or vascular patient populations
• Background working in a cardiovascular ICU step-down or observation setting
