Overview
Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Hotel Front Desk Clerk, where you will be the welcoming face of our property, ensuring every guest experience is exceptional from check-in to check-out. This energetic role requires a proactive approach to guest relations, seamless management of reservations, and efficient handling of front desk operations. You will be instrumental in creating a positive, memorable stay for our guests while maintaining smooth hotel functions. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster a warm and inviting atmosphere that keeps guests coming back.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, assist with check-in and check-out procedures, and provide outstanding customer service throughout their stay
- Manage reservations accurately using property management systems (PMS).
- Handle guest inquiries via multi-line phone systems with professionalism and courtesy, providing information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and services
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms are prepared and issues are resolved promptly
- Uphold hotel emergency procedures, including safety protocols and incident reporting, to ensure guest and staff safety at all times
- Maintain accurate records of guest stays, billing details, and special requests while ensuring data privacy and security
- Support night audit processes by reconciling daily transactions and preparing reports for management review
Experience
- Proven experience in hospitality management or front desk operations within a hotel or resort environment
- Familiarity with hospitality reservation systems such as OPERA or property management systems (PMS)
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to problem-solve quickly and effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to assist diverse guest populations
- Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures, guest relations strategies, and phone etiquette standards
- Experience with night audit procedures and multi-line phone systems is preferred
- Previous work in resort settings or hotels with high guest volume is advantageous
