Chief, Division of Infectious Disease

the client seeks applications and nominations for the position of Professor or Associate Professor of Medicine to serve as Chief of the Division of Infectious Disease in the Department of Medicine. the chief will lead a division recognized for clinical care, teaching, and a broad research agenda, and will provide clinical services across inpatient consultations for immunocompromised patients as well as outpatient infectious disease services, urgent care, travel clinics, and outpatient parenteral antibiotic therapy. the chief will play a key role in advancing education for medical students, residents, and infectious diseases fellows, supported by the faculty’s publications and presentations. the role includes opportunities to grow clinical services in partnership with a new hospital being built in collaboration with a major cancer center, with an emphasis on developing services that serve adult cancer patients. the successful applicant will have a proven track record as an investigator in basic or clinical science and will be an experienced, credible clinician who can lead and earn the respect of the clinical team. responsibilities include providing general infectious disease care, managing infections in immunosuppressed patients, supporting antibiotic stewardship and infection control, and conducting outpatient care including follow-up administration of antibiotics and travel medicine.
