Assist in preparing, conducting, and managing classroom activities. Assist the teachers serving Emergent Bilingual (EB) students in the preparation, management and delivery of classroom activities and administrative requirements. Qualifications Education/Certification High school diploma or hold a General Educational Development (GED) certificate Have met formal academic assessment, associate's degree, or two years of study at an institution of higher learning* Special Knowledge/Skills Strong interpersonal skills; ability to read, write, and communicate clearly, concisely and effectively both orally and in writing in English and Spanish Ability to work with EB students well Ability to follow directions and carry out assigned tasks, independently and in an organized manner Basic computer skills such as keyboard/word processing, preferred Ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics Experience One year of experience in a school setting, preferred Experience working with EL students, preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr Denver City ISD
