Manufacturing Technician

Business Unit: Power Protection & Quality Solutions Posting Date: Apr 11, 2026 Job Summary Assemble electronic components, printed circuit boards, subassemblies and finished products using schematics, assembly documents and procedures. Operate and maintain select solder machines and various pieces of automated equipment. Key Responsibilities Read and understand assembly and schematic drawings, work orders, test procedures, wiring diagrams and work orders. Learn and operate and maintain the select solder machine and various automated insertion machines, along with other electronic assembly equipment. Execute mechanical, optical and electrical operations using a wide range of hand and power tools, electrical/mechanical fixtures and gauges, measuring devices such as micrometers, meters, drills, jigs, soldering irons, and any other item required to assemble products and operate machines. Inspect and test own work and the work of others. Perform tasks ranging from simple, highly repetitive to fairly repetitive but more complex as experience increases. Solder components on a printed circuit board after training is completed. Follow all safety policy and procedures. Practice good housekeeping including 5S/ESD protection. Maintain inventory accuracy requirements set by the company. Work well in a team environment. Meet on-time delivery requirements set by the company. Work overtime as needed to meet schedules. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, and at least two years of experience in a related manufacturing environment. Ability to read and interpret assembly, schematic drawings, and work instructions. Physical Demands The employee frequently sits and uses hands to finger, handle, or feel. Occasional standing, walking, and reaching with hands and arms. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
