Pharmacist in Long Beach, CA

A healthcare center is seeking a dedicated and bilingual Clinical Pharmacist fluent in both Spanish and English to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. Location:

• Van Nuys, CA

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm
• Rotating every third Saturday, 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
• Contract duration: 13 weeks (with potential for permanent hire)

Responsibilities:

• Dispense approximately 250 prescriptions daily with accuracy and compliance
• Conduct thorough clinical medication reviews focusing on appropriateness, interactions, and dosing
• Provide extensive patient counseling especially related to diabetes management including insulin use, injectables, continuous glucose monitors (CGMs), and lifestyle guidance
• Assess and monitor chronic conditions, with an emphasis on diabetes care
• Collaborate closely with prescribers to optimize therapy and resolve medication-related issues
• Oversee pharmacy workflow ensuring all regulatory standards are met
• Foster a patient-centered environment aimed at long-term health and quality outcomes

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• B.S. or PharmD degree from an accredited pharmacy school
• Active and clear California Pharmacist License
• Minimum of 2 years clinical pharmacy experience preferred
• Experience in diabetic clinical assessments highly desired
• Bilingual in Spanish and English strongly preferred
• Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, clinical confidence, and patient-focused counseling skills
