Manufacturing Engineer Technician (MET) — Swiss/CNC Programmer and Machinist

About the Role
This highly technical role involves taking parts from drawings or CAD models through programming, setup, prove-out, first-article approval, and production release. It is a hands-on position that combines CNC programming, machining, and manufacturing engineering support.
Environment: Precision, quality-driven, regulated manufacturing with a medical-device focus Schedule: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts available Work arrangement: 100% onsite; local candidates only
Key Responsibilities
CNC Programming and Process Development
- Create CNC programs using CAD/CAM software.
- Develop machining strategies from drawings and CAD models.
- Select appropriate tooling and machining processes.
- Optimize cycle times and machining efficiency.
Setup, Prove-Out, and Production Release
- Perform machine setups and run first articles.
- Prove out new programs and validate dimensions and tolerances.
- Troubleshoot machining issues.
- Release jobs into production.
Manufacturing Support
- Provide technical support to machinists.
- Support engineering changes.
- Troubleshoot production challenges and improve manufacturing processes.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with CNC programming and CAD/CAM software.
- Hands-on experience with machine setup and first-article inspection.
- Strong blueprint-reading and dimensional-troubleshooting skills.
- Experience providing production support in a precision-manufacturing environment.
