About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Orthopedics Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: 1 year of prior Orthopedic experience License: Valid Wisconsin or Compact license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred Description: Coordinates and administers nursing care to patients in an outpatient clinic setting. Utilizes the nursing process to assess the patient's physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs. Facilitates and evaluates patient follow-through and compliance with healthcare interventions. Complies with all established standards and practices. Provides ongoing patient care in an outpatient setting. Ability to skillfully assess patient needs via phone and triage to the appropriate level of care for intervention. Facilitates, assesses, and provides patient, family, and/or significant others teaching needs. Administers immunizations and medications according to established procedures. Facilitates completion of diagnostic testing as ordered by the physician. Manages multifaceted communication in various emotional situations. Administers medications in a timely manner, safely, and in accordance with policy and procedure.
