Position Summary

The Pre-Owned Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the pre-owned vehicle sales operations. This includes managing inventory, pricing strategies, sales team performance, and ensuring compliance with dealership and manufacturer standards. The ideal candidate will be a results-driven leader with a proven track record in automotive sales management and a passion for building high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities

  Sales Leadership:

  
  
  • Lead, coach, and motivate the pre-owned sales team to achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
  
  
  • Implement effective sales processes and training programs to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction.

  Inventory Management:

  
  
  • Oversee acquisition, appraisal, and pricing of pre-owned vehicles to ensure optimal inventory mix and profitability.
  
  
  • Monitor market trends and adjust pricing strategies accordingly.

  • Ensure a seamless and positive buying experience for all customers.
  
  
  • Resolve escalated customer concerns promptly and professionally.

  • Develop and execute strategies to maximize gross profit and maintain healthy turn rates.
  
  
  • Monitor and manage departmental expenses within budget guidelines.

  Compliance & Standards:

  
  
  • Ensure adherence to all dealership policies, manufacturer guidelines, and legal requirements.
  
  
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting for sales and inventory.
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of automotive sales management experience (Honda experience preferred).


• Strong leadership and team-building skills with a focus on accountability and performance.


• Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.


• Proficiency in CRM systems and dealership management software.


• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
