• Cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgical population
• Call required
• Weekend call required

Schedule

• 10-hour day shifts
• Shift options:
  • 0700–1700
  • 0900–1900

• NC RN License or Compact RN License
• AHA BLS

Cardiac Cases

• CABG
• Valve repair and replacement
• Minimally invasive and robotic valves

Vascular Cases

• Open/endovascular abdominal aneurysm repair
• Peripheral vascular procedures
• Carotid stenting
• Angioplasty
• Amputations

Thoracic Cases

• Open thoracotomy
• VATS
• Esophageal/hernia repairs
• Bronchoscopy
• Esophagoscopy
• Robotics

Role Expectations

• Circulating RN will manage overall nursing care in the OR
• Maintain a safe, organized, and comfortable surgical environment
• Work closely with scrub techs/scrub nurses to complete surgical counts
• Support sterile field maintenance, specimen handling, equipment flow, and overall OR safety
• Strong CVOR circulating experience needed due to cardiac, vascular, and thoracic case mix.
