Description of Work - This Regional Recruitment Specialist is physically based in the Kansas City area and works from a home office to present the benefits of UNL to prospective students and their families within the assigned territory. The Regional Recruitment Specialist returns to the Lincoln Campus office 2-3 times per year for additional training and special events. A Regional Specialist is responsible for creating, implementing, and assessing UNL's strategic outreach efforts in assigned territory. This position will represent UNL at high school visits, college fairs, community college visits, and other external events. Responsible for interpreting admission, financial aid, and university policy to the general public. This position requires many nights and weekends during peak times.

Minimum Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degreeExcellent communication and organizational skillsPublic speaking experienceAbility to work independently, demonstrated ability to think comprehensively about interactions and programs.Ability to relate to people of all age groups, academic abilities and cultures.Experience with word processing, database, spreadsheet and presentation software necessary.Must have ability to manage multiple priorities and complete assigned projects on time.Must have a valid driver's license and meet University driver eligibility requirements.

Preferred Qualifications - Extensive campus or community involvement as an undergraduate preferred.Experience working as a student recruitment ambassador or tour guide in Admissions, Housing, Orientation leader, or an academic college desirable.Customer service experienceUse of data to analyze happenings and to make recommendations for future work.Experience with extensive travel helpful.
