ServiceNow Tech Lead

Role Description

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Tech Lead to drive the architecture, design, development, and delivery of enterprise ServiceNow solutions. This role bridges business requirements with technical implementation by translating complex needs into scalable technical designs, leading technical discussions with stakeholders, and ensuring development best practices through code reviews and governance. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in ITSM, CMDB, ITOM, and ServiceNow platform development.

• Design scalable and high-performing technical solutions based on business requirements.
• Develop technical design documentation for ServiceNow implementations.
• Consult with stakeholders and provide strategic platform recommendations.
• Lead technical solution walkthroughs and design discussions.
• Promote the use of out-of-the-box ServiceNow capabilities whenever possible.
• Conduct peer code reviews to ensure code quality, security, scalability, and performance.
• Enforce ServiceNow development standards, governance, and update set best practices.
• Design solutions that support future ServiceNow platform upgrades and reduce technical debt.
• Architect and optimize ITSM processes, including Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, Service Catalog, Predictive Intelligence, and Performance Analytics.
• Maintain CMDB data quality and implement Identification and Reconciliation Rules (IRR).
• Support ITOM capabilities, including Discovery, Service Mapping, and Event Management.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to development teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and developing on the ServiceNow platform.
• Strong expertise in ITSM, ITSM Advanced features, CMDB, and ITOM (Discovery and Service Mapping).
• Advanced experience with JavaScript, Flow Designer, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, and IntegrationHub.
• Strong understanding of Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and ITIL v4 frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring developers and establishing development best practices.

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in ITSM and/or Discovery/Service Mapping
