Manager, Quality Control

Manager of Quality Control laboratory operations supporting the Biosciences Division at a Carlsbad manufacturing site. Provides leadership for QC testing teams, oversees analytical and release testing activities, and ensures regulatory compliance and continuous improvement across multiple product lines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop QC laboratory team including supervisors and team leads
• Oversee in-process and finished product release testing and troubleshooting investigations
• Manage laboratory capacity, testing priorities, budgets, and resource allocation
• Drive investigation of out-of-specification results and quality trends to improve performance
• Ensure QC compliance with cGMP, ISO, and regulatory requirements; support audits and inspections

Requirements

• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Ability to pass comprehensive background check including drug screen
• Currently residing in Southern California or willing to relocate locally
• Leadership experience managing QC laboratory teams and supervisors
• Strong knowledge of cGMP, ISO standards, and Quality Management Systems
• Experience with analytical testing, method validation, and product release procedures
