Production Manager

About the Company

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Manager to lead and oversee production operations within our manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for managing, coordinating, and successfully executing the production plan while driving productivity, efficiency, quality, safety, and on-time delivery.

About the Role

The Production Manager will provide leadership through department leads, ensuring that production targets are consistently achieved while maintaining a strong culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is an experienced manufacturing leader with strong operational, organizational, problem-solving, and people-management skills who thrives in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

Production & Operations

• Oversee multiple production and shipping operations and establish, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures.
\n
• Execute production plans to ensure productivity and production targets are met or exceeded on time.
\n
• Ensure planned efficiency and performance standards are achieved while maintaining cost-effective operations.
\n
• Maintain control over manufacturing lead times, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and consistent customer service.
\n
• Manage work-in-process transactions and ensure accurate production records.
\n
• Collaborate with Production, Shipping, Planning, Purchasing, Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure operational requirements are met.
\n
• Collaborate with internal departments to optimize the flow of orders from preparation through shipment.
\n
• Manage inventory and production planning activities.
\n

Leadership & Team Development

\n
• Lead, coach, develop, and manage the performance of direct reports.
\n
• Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
\n
• Partner effectively with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization.
\n
• Identify measures and indicators of system performance and implement actions necessary to improve or correct performance.
\n

Safety, Quality & Continuous Improvement

\n
• Ensure safety procedures are implemented, maintained, and continuously improved.
\n
• Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety guidelines and company requirements.
\n
• Fulfill responsibilities outlined in the Accident Prevention Program as defined by company's Environmental, Health, & Safety team.
\n
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through effective change-management processes, best practices, and operational improvements.
\n
• Maintain current knowledge of quality control practices, materials, technological advancements, and relevant statistical studies.
\n
• Work closely with Quality and Engineering to support product development initiatives and ensure quality standards are maintained.
\n

Facilities & Equipment

\n
• Coordinate with Operations, Quality, and Engineering on product development initiatives.
\n
• Recommend and coordinate procedures for facility and equipment maintenance or modification.
\n
• Evaluate equipment needs, including recommendations related to machine replacement and upgrades.
\n
• Partner with appropriate departments to support reliable, efficient manufacturing operations.
\n

Qualifications

\n
• High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
\n
• 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in manufacturing, production, and/or shipping operations.
\n
• 5+ years of management experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
\n
• Advanced knowledge of manufacturing systems and production planning, including ERP systems.
\n
• Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, establish priorities, identify and resolve problems, meet deadlines, and operate within budget.
\n
• Exceptional leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills.
\n
