Work Environment

This position is an onsite role, primarily focused on providing home care therapy to patients in the Suffolk area. As a member of our team, you will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to assess and meet the unique needs of each patient within their home environment. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial and continuous physical therapy assessments in accordance with established standards of practice, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
• Evaluate patient mobility, strength, and functional abilities, setting personalized, achievable goals for rehabilitation.
• Develop comprehensive Plans of Treatment based on patient evaluations that include both short-term and long-term goals, collaborating with other healthcare team members and involving caregivers as required.
• Implement and regularly modify treatment plans in response to patient progress, ensuring consistent and effective therapeutic interventions.
• Document all patient interactions and progress meticulously, adhering to medical documentation standards and facility protocols.
• Actively participate in continuing education workshops and training sessions to maintain and advance your professional skills and knowledge.
• Support fellow team members when needed, contributing to a safe and organized environment conducive to effective rehabilitation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist will work with a diverse range of patients encountering various orthopedic challenges, from sports injuries to post-operative rehabilitation. Our clients include individuals from all age groups, allowing you to utilize your extensive knowledge in orthopedic care while adapting treatment strategies to different developmental stages and physical capabilities.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution, with a preference for candidates holding a Master's or Doctorate Degree.
• An active Physical Therapy license valid in the state of Virginia.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including AED proficiency.
• A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience providing physical therapy, particularly in orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Strong interpersonal skills, characterized by empathy and a proactive approach to patient motivation and engagement.
• Familiarity with orthopedic tools and equipment, alongside a commitment to adhering to best practices for their use.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in home health settings or outpatient clinics specializing in orthopedic physical therapy.
• Proficiency in developing individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
• Background in collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams for holistic patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges between USD 90,000 and 100,000 annually , commensurate with experience and qualifications.
