Work Environment

The physical therapist will work onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Suffolk, Virginia. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities and health status to develop individualized treatment plans aligned with physician directives.

• Design and implement therapeutic interventions aimed at restoring function, reducing pain, and improving the quality of life for patients.

• Document all aspects of patient care, including evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress updates, ensuring compliance with professional standards and facility protocols.

• Oversee and mentor Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and support staff, providing guidance and ensuring consistency of care practices.

• Maintain clear and professional communication with a multidisciplinary team, including medical doctors, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists, to coordinate comprehensive care.

• Regularly assess the effectiveness of treatment plans and make necessary adjustments to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

• Engage in continuing education and training to stay current with the latest developments in physical therapy practices and techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Heartfelt Life Insights Center, you will serve a diverse population of patients recovering from various conditions such as orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, post-surgical recovery, and chronic pain. You will adapt treatment strategies to meet the unique needs of each patient, ensuring a therapeutic approach that promotes recovery and empowers individuals to take charge of their health.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university.

• A valid Physical Therapist license issued by the state of Virginia.

• Proficiency in both verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to patients and their families.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and the ability to document patient interactions accurately.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
