Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Full-Time Opportunity in Home Care

Work Environment

This role is primarily onsite, focusing on home care services in Suffolk, Virginia, where you will provide therapy in the familiar surroundings of our patients' homes. This setting allows you to establish a strong rapport with patients, gaining insights into their living conditions and how their environments affect their recovery. You will collaborate closely with families and caregivers, creating an inclusive atmosphere that promotes healing and rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to identify patients' physical capabilities and areas needing improvement.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that utilize evidence-based practices tailored to each patient's specific needs and recovery goals.
• Incorporate a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and patient education.
• Educate patients and their families about their treatment plans, encouraging participation and providing support throughout the recovery process.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure holistic and coordinated patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is to provide care to a diverse clientele ranging from young adults to senior citizens who are dealing with orthopedic issues. You will engage with patients who require rehabilitation for post-operative recovery, injury rehabilitation, and chronic pain management. Your ability to evaluate individual cases will enable you to create effective treatment strategies, ultimately contributing to positive patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy (Doctor of Physical Therapy - DPT preferred).
• Current Virginia state physical therapy license.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for patient-centered care.
• A collaborative spirit with a willingness to engage with team members across disciplines.
• Exceptional organizational skills, as well as attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of two years of experience in an orthopedic or outpatient clinical setting is highly desirable.
• Experience with home health care is a plus but not mandatory; new graduates are encouraged to apply and will receive mentorship.
• Familiarity with therapeutic modalities and rehabilitation techniques specific to orthopedic disorders.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition to a rewarding salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
