Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite and involves direct interaction with patients within a home care setting, which creates a nurturing and familiar environment for rehabilitation. Our facility is well-equipped with state-of-the-art therapy tools and resources designed to facilitate effective treatment modalities. You will work Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM , allowing for a balanced work-life schedule while remaining focused on individual patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive initial evaluations and periodic assessments of patients' physical capabilities, strengths, and mobility, adhering to established standards of practice.
• Set achievable, personalized goals for each patient that promote functional improvement in areas of strength and mobility.
• Create and implement individualized treatment plans based on initial evaluations and ongoing assessments, which will include therapeutic exercises and educational programs for patients and their caregivers.
• Regularly adjust treatment plans in response to patient progress, ensuring optimal rehabilitation outcomes.
• Maintain thorough documentation of patient progress and treatment interventions, following both state regulations and the facility's documentation protocols.
• Participate actively in team meetings to discuss patient cases and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to enhance patient care.
• Stay informed on new rehabilitation techniques and best practices through continuing education and professional development opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse range of patients from various age groups, including individuals with acute and chronic orthopedic conditions. Patient demographics include those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or managing long-term movement disorders. Your ability to relate to and support patients in a compassionate manner will be key to their recovery.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Must possess an active Physical Therapy license in Virginia.
• Hold current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including AED training.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a physical therapy setting, with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Demonstrable skills in empathy, communication, and patient motivation.
• Knowledgeable in the responsible use of physical therapy equipment and best practice methodologies.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with treating geriatric patients and understanding their unique therapy needs.
• Proficiency in using contemporary rehabilitation technologies and methodologies, including manual therapy techniques.
• Previous involvement in workshops or continuing education related to innovations in physical therapy.

Compensation and Benefits

The role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000 , commensurate with experience.
