Industrial Equipment Maintenance Technician (Mechanical/Hydraulic)Is this you?

• Comfortable pitching in on building repairs, basic plumbing, and occasional crate builds or moves?

Role Snapshot

• Location: Stratford, CT
• Hours: First shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
• Status: Full-time, direct hire (union position; probationary period applies)
• Pay: $33.71/hour + overtime; approx. $70,117 annually before OT

What You’ll Do

• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment (motors, pumps, conveyors)
• Diagnose mechanical failures to minimize downtime
• Service hydraulic and pneumatic systems; replace valves, regulators, hoses, air/gas lines, and fittings
• Execute preventive maintenance and keep detailed service records
• Interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and OEM manuals
• Assist with new equipment installation and upgrades
• Perform general facility maintenance, including basic plumbing
• Build crates; support equipment and office moves
• Support safety initiatives and continuous-improvement efforts

Most tasks are mechanical in nature. HVAC know-how is especially valuable.

What You Bring

• Experience in industrial, manufacturing, facility, or military maintenance
• Exposure to motors, pumps, conveyors, hydraulics, or pneumatics
• Excellent mechanical troubleshooting and tool proficiency
• HVAC, plumbing, or building-maintenance background
• Technical-school, vocational/trade, or technical high-school training
• Professional trade license or relevant certification preferred
• Military mechanical-maintenance training welcomed
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.; comfortable with physical work
• Dependable, verifiable employment history

Ideal: 3–5 years related experience; strong technical training plus hands-on skills also considered.

Pay, Overtime, and Schedule

• Time-and-a-half after 8 hours in a day
• Time-and-a-half on Saturdays
• Double time on Sundays
• Scheduled contractual wage increases

Overtime availability and occasional emergency coverage are required. No regular on-call rotation.
