Process Technician

This position is responsible for providing product engineering support to production lines and improving assembly processes. Duties And Responsibilities Improve and support production on existing products, processes, procedures and provide shop floor support as needed. Purchase, replenish, maintain and doing preventive maintenance on production tools and fixtures. Assist Product Engineer or facility to design and build fixtures. Support facility on layout and improvement projects. Send out facility service request and follow-up with facility until completion of the request. Work with Product Engineering team on Kaizen projects (yield, cycle time, efficiency, automation and etc), maintaining or updating product information on machine operation systems and resolve manufacturing issues on a timely basis. Assist Product Engineer on New Product Introduction (NPI) implementation. Implement 6S improvement activities on the production floor. Maintaining and carry out preventive maintenance on equipment and machine troubleshooting during breakdowns. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Knowledge of Tact Time Analysis, Lean production methods, Kanban, and lean manufacturing Understanding of quality systems such as Six Sigma AutoCAD drawing knowledge Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills Excellent organizational, analytical, problem solving, and prioritization skills Proven ability to function independently and multi-task Must have ability to remain flexible in a dynamic work environment Education And Experience Minimum Associate’s degree with 1 year of process, industrial, or manufacturing engineering experience.
