Assistant Manager PositionRoggenart is an authentic European Bakery seeking enthusiastic, customer-focused individuals to join our team. Assistant Managers must promote a fun and positive work environment that fosters open communication, encourages teamwork and inspires creativity.Our expanding business is looking for candidates who can demonstrate:LeadershipSetting goals for the work group, developing organizational capability, and modeling how we work together:Demonstrates a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events and manages smooth transitions thereafter to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the store team.Displays a customer comes first attitude by training and holding partners accountable for delivering legendary customer service.Drives the implementation of company programs by developing action plans and directly motivating and instructing the store team to implement them to meet operational and organizational objectives.Manages with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of Roggenart, an authentic European bakeryPlans, identifies, communicates, and delegates appropriate responsibilities and practices to store employees to ensure smooth flow of operations.Ensures highest quality of products are being served to the customer including all drinks (effectively ensures product integrity). Ensures that all product serving procedures are adhered to.Provides coaching and direction to the store team to take action and to achieve operational goals. Constantly reviews store environment and key business indicators to identify problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement to provide coaching and direction to the store team to achieve operational goals.Planning and ExecutionDeveloping strategic and operational plans for the work group, managing execution, and measuring results:Utilizes existing tools to identify and prioritize communications and regularly uses discretion to filter communications to the store team. Communicates clearly, concisely and accurately in order to ensure effective store operations.Execute functional responsibilities:Solicits customer feedback to understand customer needs and the needs of the local community.Plans for and achieves operational goals in the store. Requirements include inventory management, store setup and product layout, hygiene.Challenges and inspires employees to achieve business results.Works together with all the employees in the front house and leads by example and takes ownership of all store processesChallenges and inspires team members to achieve business results.Ensures employees adhere to operational requirements.Requirements and qualifications:1 year of experience customer service management1 year of restaurant/kitchen managementExtensive food knowledgeComputer literacyStrong leadership, motivational and people skillsGood financial management skillsCritical thinker and problem-solving skillsTeam playerGood time-management skillsGreat interpersonal and communication skillsServ Safe Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)Benefits:Health insuranceDental insuranceEmployee discountJob Type: Full-time
