Job Description Logistics Clerk
- Coordinate daily shipping, receiving, and transportation activities.
- Prepare and process bills of lading, packing slips, purchase orders, and shipping documents.
- Enter and maintain accurate shipment, inventory, and delivery information in computer systems.
- Track shipments and communicate with carriers, vendors, customers, and internal departments.
- Schedule pickups and deliveries to support on-time shipments.
- Verify incoming and outgoing materials for accuracy, quantity, and condition.
- Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, delays, shortages, and damaged shipments.
- Maintain organized logistics records and documentation.
- Assist with inventory tracking, cycle counts, and reconciliation.
- Coordinate with warehouse and production teams to ensure timely movement of materials.
- Process freight invoices and verify charges against shipping records.
- Follow company safety, quality, and logistics procedures while meeting daily deadlines.
